Photos just do not do justice to this beautiful Tudor style estate that sets on a flat expansive acre in a lovely cul de sac in West Atherton (one side borders Alameda De Las Pulgas). The homes’ interior has a casual European style to it but, it is light, bright, flows very well and has the latest of all materials and designer finishes. The many french doors from various rooms leading to the back bluestone patio provides easy indoor/outdoor entertaining. There are more than 3 entertaining venues in the backyard. To the right side is a fantastic outdoor fireplace area, in the middle is another area where you can have several patio sets and there is a grilling area, to the left side is verdant grass and a gorgeous rectangular pool inviting you to come and relax. The master suite with huge walk in closets and the office are on the first level, the other 3 generous sized bedrooms and another large media room/family room are upstairs. There’s also a pool house, exercise room, gourmet kitchen, 3 car garage and nice sized pantry with wine storage/refrigeration.
Given the location, you hardly hear traffic on Alameda, although that is probably everyone’s concern. The back yard is set up with fountains, outdoor speakers and lush landscaping that mutes traffic noise. This house would certainly be much more expensive if it was not on the corner lot of Karen Way and Alameda De Las Pulgas. Regardless, it is a great value for all that you get, and I highly recommend it to buyers in the low $4M’s, that want an estate in West Atherton that is almost perfect. It is a must see!
Recrently 41 Sneckner Court in Menlo Park was reduced from over $4.2M down to $3.799M.

I think this is a great value for the buyer in the mid $3M’s. The house is very well designed with high end materials (think Carrera marble, state of the art materials and fixtures), and flows over 3 big, beautiful levels. The 5,200 square feet feels rich, warm and inviting. All of the 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths are gorgeous and roomy, and there are too many extras to mention. This home is perfect for entertaining inside and out which includes many outdoor living and entertaining areas such an outdoor fireplace venue, outdoor dining area venue, and a big beautiful veranda. It is quite beautiful, formal yet casual in a wonderful setting on about a half acre with open space behind the property. Given the price and all that you get for it (Las Lomitas schools too!), I think this is presently the best value over $3M in Menlo Park right now. It is a joy to see such quality!
I am pleased to announce that my new and improved web site is finally up and running. It is meant to provide valuable statistics of sales and new property listings as well as many resources to help you with your search for knowledge of real estate and services on the mid-peninsula in the beautiful bay area.
www.propertiesbythebay.com aka www.cindyliebsch.com is not meant to be a “me too” web site. I hope that you will find daily updated “hot sheets” of what is for sale broken down by city helpful and easy to use. Monthly statistics of what has sold, number of days on the market and average sale prices – plus more (!), is great information to know whether you are buying, selling or just monitoring the current real estate market. I specialize in Atherton, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Woodside and Portola Valley as well as Burlingame, San Carlos, Redwood City and San Mateo Park. Having lived here for over 15 years, I know the areas very, very well.
I will let you know about the best values through my blog, and I will even tell you about “off market” or “pocket listings” that you should know about. I often know about “coming soon” listings to give you a heads up before other buyers/sellers know about them, so follow me on twitter at www.twitter.com/cindyliebsch, or read my blog postings for that information to get the “inside scoop”.
I plan to provide you with local real estate information that you may not know about nor will be able to find out about easily. So let me know how I can be of help or what you need for information if you can not find it in any of the areas I have mentioned above.
